Overview of End of Life & the Older Adult
In Canada, the aging population is increasing and older adults are living longer with chronic illnesses. Death is a natural stage in human life and it is a sensitive yet important topic to discuss. By improving the understanding, skills and abilities of health care professionals to have conversations about end of life allows the opportunity to deliver comprehensive management, treatment, and comfort for older adults.
